Fun Food

Recently, Priscilla introduced me to the sushi restaurant (or maybe counter is a better word) in the basement of a nearby department store. Admittedly, I don't like fish, and the thought of eating it raw didn't make it more appetizing, but I'm an adventurous eater so I decided to try it. I can't say I love sushi, but I do love the whole idea of this restaurant, and the way the food is displayed like little jewels in a case. All of the dishes you see here are on a moving belt, like an assembly line, and the colour of the plate tells you how much each one is. They seem to range from 2000 to 4000 won (CAD$2.00-4.00) You sit at the counter, and just lift off the one you want as it goes by. Since for me the fun is more in the choosing than the eating, sometimes the food makes a few laps up and down the entire length of the counter before I'm able to decide which one I want. Then as I'm eating, I watch some more, deciding which one I'll have next. It's almost as good as television. Posted by Hello
